Thanks to all of you that sponsored us. Both of us managed to finish the race. We ran together until we reached the 8k mark at Westminster Bridge. Dec then decided to leave his old man behind and ran the last 2k much faster than Clive. According to the "Official Chip Timing" Clive's time was 58:28 - a minute or so slower than last year which can be put down to jet lag as well as old age. Dec managed to beat the old man with a time of 58:04 - a full 24 seconds quicker (but not as fast as Clive ran last year).
Over 25,000 people took part in the run. We both really enjoyed the day and are thinking about running the BUPA 10k next May when the weather should be a bit cooler.
Thanks again to all who helped us raise money for HARC. Your generosity is much appreciated and will help HARC continue to do its good work.
