My story

 

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

From 23 - 30 March 2009 I will be leading Smile's Arctic challenge to Norway.  The challenge will take place in Tromso, Northern Norway, which is 659 miles north of Oslo and 200 miles above the Arctic Circle.  The challenge is to walk 10 kms a day for three consecutive days, in arctic and snowy conditions with the temperature possibly dropping to minus 10 degrees.

The purpose of this trek is to raise funds for Smile's new project in Gjakove, Kosova where we are seeking to establish a Hospice At Home care service to care for adults and children dying of cancer.  The initial set up cost for this project is expected to be around £20,000.
