WE DID IT!!!!

On Saturday 9 August CMF student and staff teams tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - 25 miles of walking up the three peaks (MOUNTAINS) of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen Y Gent. 

It was tough going and treacherous weather and terrain up and down the windy wet mountain sides, but we struggled through and amazingly Amanda and Tiago finished two of the peaks (Pen Y Gent and Whernside) and I (Sam) somehow managed to continue on to the last one.

I can honestly say it was a very good nights sleep afterwards!! 

We did this to try and raise £10,000 total to fund our national students' conference. This conference attracts around 350 UK and international medical students each year and is incredibly formative for them in working out what it means to be a Christian doctor. It is heavily subsidised each year and without this subsidy many students simply couldn't attend. I know i couldnt !!

The conference is really helpful in letting us know how to deal with being a Christian whilst becoming a Doctor!!!

I t was a great weekend of sweat, toil, and graft, building friendships between students from various medical schools as we tackled the peaks together!
