Cardiff Muslim Primary School (CMPS) is an independent school, registered charity and local community centre receiving no Government funding. As rain is a constant addition to the Welsh landscape, a reinforced shelter with a polycarbonate roof to form a sheltered area in the school playground is a much needed asset that can be utilised by all.
The shelter will provide:- · CMPS Parents – a sheltered waiting area before school doors open as opposed to remaining double parked in the car, creating unnecessary obstacles which leads to negative dawah to the local community. · CMPS Pupils – an outdoor play area unspoiled by the weather and an exterior study-area to stimulate creativity. · Our Community – an outdoor area for breaks between extracurricular sessions in the main hall and an outdoor facility for adult fitness classes and children’s sports. · Charities & Organisations – allow socials and fundraising events held by external parties renting the school playground to continue in the event of bad weather. · Our Ummah –an opportunity to increase the general number of services that the school can provide our community and help secure its’ future in raising pious, well educated, Muslim children of noble character. An on-going sadakat and a weighty deed on your scales. A team of three running amateurs and one experienced pro have risen to the challenge of running the Cardiff ½ Marathon on Sunday, October 16 2011 and are seeking sponsorship.
