Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. After being stuck in front of the TV all last Summer I got hooked on the Tour d'France and decided to have a go at l'Etape du Tour...www.letapedutour.com for more details. The event is an annual amateur bike race that each year picks one of the stages of the Tour and opens it up to around 9000 riders a couple of weeks before the real Tour arrives. This year's route is Stage 10: Pau-Hautacam, 169kms and a couple of little hills in the Pyrenees including the infamous Tourmalet. Note that last year over 2000 riders didn't complete the course...just in case you thought this sounded easy.... To make it a little easier I'll be riding with some friends from the newly formed Picon Peloton - Pete, Rob, Steve, Mike, Aymeric, Ludwig, Jonny, Jo and Ben. To make this gruelling and painful ride worthwhile I'll be trying to raise funds for TIME, which is a relatively small charity and will therefore benefit all the more from any donation you can make. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transplants in Mind gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Cheers, Colin
