We, Team Collateral Damage, will be setting off on an approximately 10,000 mile journey from London, England, to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia. The ultimate goal of this trip is tri-fold: 1) to raise money for Go Help, a 100% non-profit, volunteer-run charity which works to improve education and healthcare in Mongolia 2) to get to Ulaan Baatar in one piece so as to donate our trusty vehicle to charity upon arrival, and 3) to spread some serious love and good times across EurAsia.
...But we can't do it alone! Our minimum fundraising limit is 1,000GBP. If we can't raise this amount, we can't participate! Please help us raise money for an excellent cause so that we can support the local communities in Mongolia and deliver them a much-needed vehicle!
Let's be real: This journey is by no means a holiday, and it is by no means safe. We have had to sign waivers up and down that say we are completely on our own, come what may, which includes imprisonment, injury, or even death. We will be crossing into and out of several countries, some of which are hostile and/or outright dangerous. The terrain is inhospitable--mountains and desert once we are out of Europe. So why are we doing it? We're crazy. Crazy and passionate. We believe in it. And since there are people who don't have schools, ambulances, and other things we take for granted, we can at least take a few risks and test our mettle to try and help them out.
