Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I will be running the Bath Half Marathon on March 19th 2006 to help with a massive fundraising effort being undertaken by a host of former rugby internationals.

Former England Centre Simon Halliday has gathered together a number of rugby stars to run the Bath Half Marathon for the Sebastian English Memorial Fund, which has been set up within the charity CRY.

In February 2004, Sebastian English, aged 15, suddenly collapsed and died of an undiagnosed heart condition whilst playing rugby for Haslemere RFC. Unbelievably, this was 10 years after exactly the same thing had happened to Sebastian's father Howard English, whilst training for his local club, Esher. Simon Halliday was the club coach at the time and was there when he died. From his rugby contacts, Simon has so far recruited Will Carling, Michael Lynagh, Ben Clarke, Peter Winterbottom, Richard Hill, Jonathan Webb, Paul Ackford, David Egerton and Rob Andrew to run the Bath Half Marathon with him. Please sponsor me, and help with my contribution to the Sebastian English Memorial Fund. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
