About Concern Worldwide, England & Wales
Concern was founded in Ireland in 1967 in response to the terrible famine in Biafra. It now has fundraising offices in Dublin, Belfast, London and Glasgow.
Presently working in 27 countries across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Europe, Concern aims to alleviate poverty among the poorest of the world's poor.
Concern's work includes both emergency response, be they natural or man-made disasters, and development, including health and sanitation, education, micro-finance and rehabilitation.
Concern's present coutries of operation are Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Burundi, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, DPR Korea, East Timor, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Kosovo, Laos,
