On the 21st of October 2013, Oliver Slee & Jodie Bellamy set off from Looe, Cornwall, to cycle to Mumbai, India(Now Vientiane, Laos). On the 3rd of January, our friend Daniel Marshall flew out to Istanbul, Turkey, to take the place of Jodie.
We have cycled through many countries in Europe, and then continued on through Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and are now in Kyrgyzstan. China is next.

A spoke missing on each of my wheels, all 4 pannier bags piled onto the back of my bike because the front rack was broken and now in a bin, and my rear derailleur broken off - meaning I had no gears. Not the best way to enter a new country. Especially a country that didn't have a tarmac road for the first 50km and it's first town 180km away.
This is how we entered Kazakhstan - the worlds 9th biggest country, known only to some through Borat but soon to be known by most, by it's oil wealth....
