Two Million Reasons
At the end of 2008 there were 2 million people living with cancer in the UK and by the time you’ve finished reading this paragraph another person will have been diagnosed.
Encouragingly progress is being made; the average ten-year cancer survival rate has doubled over the last 30 years. Additionally there are excellent national and regional support charities who offer specialist palliative care to those living with cancer.
Would you be willing to join us in helping those who ease the suffering of cancer patients? For personal reasons we’re supporting Cornwall Hospice Care this summer with a sponsored 185km bike ride through the hills and valleys ofSouth Wales. The aim is to finish the ride in 9 hours – which will be particularly challenging because as cancer survivor Lance Armstrong wrote “Its not about the bike”.
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cornwall Hospice Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
