of "Long Way Round" and "Long Way Down" Fame

We are going to leave Imphal Barracks on 21st April 2008 on our own motorbikes, visiting all the major Royal Signals Units in UK and mainland europe. A total of 26 locations in 8 countries covering approximately 3740 miles within 12 days.

At each unit we will collect funds raised by that unit in various fundraising events. All the money raised will then be shared between the Army Benevolent fund and the Help 4 Heroes charities and handed over at the home of The Royal Corps of Signals in Blandford.

We are running and funding the event privately and using our own motorbikes and personal kit. We will have a van following us in support driven by two willing volunteers from the Regiment.

Our itinerary will be published nearer the time so a hot brew will be most welcome on our arrival.

We have had lots of support from companies in many forms and The Team would like to thank the following:-

1Car1.com for supplying and insuring a van for our support team.

Sony for the GPS's

York Suzuki for servicing our bikes

Infinity Motorcycles for the auction items

A1 Moto Services (Triumph) for tyre fitting

North Eastern Tyre & Autocare for supplying us with new tyres

The High Viz shop for the excellent vests

Helmet-cam.co.uk for the helmet cameras to record our trip.

Wallace Arnold/Shearings for covering the cost of a ferry crossing and a raffle prize.

Technicolor for the kind donation of some DVDs for us to raffle.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. Although this page donates to Help 4 Heroes only, the total amount of money raised by this event will be split evenly between our two chosen charities.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Help for Heroes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Due to some extremely generous donations we have exceeded our initial target. Please continue to give your support to very worthy causes.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

Hope you guys made it and the target reaches the BIG 30. Donation by Annie, Rory & Brodie 09/05/08
