Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Ever since watching the first London Marathon I've hankered after having a go.   I didn't get a place in the London but I have for Edinburgh.  I'm very excited but also apprehensive as I realise now just what I'm taking on.  But I have great support in the shape of Roger, Sarah, Jo and Claire (a schoolfriend of Jo's) who are running  the Marathon alongside me as a relay team doing either 5 or 8 miles each and having the task of not allowing me to stop.  

The Merlin Project aims to build the first MS Therapy Centre in Cornwall, the county with the highest number of people with MS in mainland Britain.  I'm supporting it partly because of my involvement with MS but principally because of Jan, my best friend at secondary school.  Jan endured an aggressive form of rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years without complaint before getting MS in her fifties.  This proved to be the last straw for her body and she died last year aged 56.
