Story
I've been called many things in my time.
Some kind, some funny, some downright offensive.
One thing I've never been called is an 'athlete'.
That's why me running a 10k is such a big deal.
This is my everest, my 20 marathons in 20 days, my running the sahara desert - you get the idea. I'm not looking forward to this.
The furthest i've ever run is about 3 miles. And that was in my peak year of 1986/87 when I was 8 years old.
As 2011 is turning into a vintage year, I thought I'd add to my achievements by (finally) running the 10k that I drunkenly promised to do about 5 years ago.
I've made a short video (see the link on the left hand side) to further make my case for sponsorship, which I hope i'll enjoy. I might mention my wedding (again!) so apologies if you're bored of hearing about it!
All the money raised will go towards the charity I work for and will help blind people get the best from life. I'm lucky enough to see on a regular basis the difference our member charities make to people and know that your donation will be well spent.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for sponsoring me. I really appreciate it and I know your support will help me get round the course without me stopping, collapsing or crying like a baby.
