Story
Donations will be made to EACH & The Community Sports Foundation. I will also provide local children's homes with sports & craft equipment. Any donations of sports or arts equipment would also be greatly received (Email joey_benham@live.co.uk). please use this link to help give a little extra for no extra cost https://www.goraise.co.uk/100milehaircut
I will begin by swimming 6 miles, walking 24 miles from Norwich to Wymondham, then biking 70 miles from Beccles to lowestoft, Yarmouth, waxham, Hoveton, Brundall and end in Norwich! I will have my 5 year old dreads cut off along the route!!
After many years working around children and young people I believe living an active life and enjoying every moment brings the best out in them. From those who's time is limited, to those who have many years ahead, they deserve to be provided with every opportunity to try new things, new experiences and meet friends. It is important that their hobbies and interests are supported and channelled. I want to help give something to those so that they can remove barriers, create their own amazing memories and chances to achieve their goals.
EACH (East Anglian Children's Hospital) provides care to 333 children and young people, 547 families and one-to-one support to 59 siblings. The support they provide includes short-break care, emotional and psychological support, symptom management, care at end of life, bereavement support and many activities and therapies. Their hospices aren’t just about end of life care; they’re often very happy and fun places, where young people can live life to their full potential. There places where families feel safe, at home and where they can spend quality time together.
The Community Sports Foundation help's over 38,000 people every year achieve their goals through sport, supporting some of the most disadvantaged, disabled and talented people across Norfolk. The Foundation's vision is to help people achieve their goals by delivering quality, innovative services through football and sport.
It is vital that people come together to give young people the support they need to enjoy their life to the fullest and develop positive life skills along the way. Whether we can offer our time, skills or donations there is always a way to help others and make their time that little bit more special. Please sponsor me to help to provide fun and joy to those who deserve a little enjoyment in their lives.
