25 for 25...
I have worked for the HICA Group for 25 years starting out as the manager of one of our services, and I am now Hica's Chief Executive. I am passionate about the work we do and believe that my job, and everyone's at Hica, is to make a positive difference to the lives of the people we support. One of the ways we do this is through our Shine Fundraising initiative which exists simply to benefit the people who use our services. I will, over the next 16 months, be taking the first terrifying steps on the road to retirement and before I go I wanted to give the Shine Fund a boost so we can invest in some specialist activity equipment that will enhance the lives of our service users. As Hica is 25 years old, and I have spent 25 years of my working life with Hica I thought I would walk 25 miles in one day and try and raise (at least) £2500 for the SHINE fund. I will be walking those 25 miles on the 29th March visiting 8 of our care homes along the way. It would be great if you could help me raise as much money as possible. many thanks.
