Myself and two other Keele child nursing students will be travelling to Kandy, Sri Lanka in September for our elective placement. We will be leaving on September 10th and before this date hope to have raised up to £200 to purchase gifts such as fob watches, pen torches, sterile gloves, colouring books, coloured pencils etc. to give as gifts to the staff and young patients on the ward. These are items that aren't readily available within the hospital and so we hope that they will be gifts that are used and appreciated. In order to raise the money we will be taking part in a 5K inflatable race on May 21st in Wolverhampton. We hope people will be sponsor us to take part and any further donations will be greatly appreciated!
