Weʼve raised £1,080 to help fund all pupils of year 5 at Curledge Street Academy to attend Camp

Funded on Friday, 7th July 2017

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

To enable as many children as possible to attend Camp, the two classes of year 5 have been undertaking various fundraising activities, including a Valentine Disco, supermarket bag packing, bake-off competition and lots of other individual fundraising activities.

All the money raised will reduce the amount each family will need to pay to send their child to Camp. A group of 70 children from across the whole school, along with some staff members, have signed up to run the Torbay Half Marathon Schools event. On Fridays after school the dedicated team runs a mile to build up to their 12 miles ready to complete the last mile on Sunday 25 June along with other competitors.

Please, please help them raise funds so that every year 5 child has the opportunity to be able to attend Camp!

WE DID IT! All our team completed the Torbay Half Marathon Schools Challenge yesterday - well done to them all. We have also met our JustGiving fundraising target - however, if you would still like to donate, please feel free to do so as it will help lower the cost of the Camp trip in September for families! Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed to our JustGiving site - the children have now to collect their individual sponsorship monies so we anticipate a fabulous result. We are all very proud :-)

On behalf of our Headteacher, Jessica Humphrey, a huge thank you to all donors who have been so generous in their support of our children taking part in Sunday's Half Marathon Schools Challenge. The penultimate mile will be run after school today. If you're able to come along on Sunday to support our runners, that would be fantastic + there's still time to encourage others to donate for the very worthy cause of funding a group of children to go to Camp in September! Thank you again from everyone at CSA.
