Manor End To Peppa Pig World …

Skye is beautiful and full of smiles, only five but in her short life Skye has been through open heart surgery, brain surgery and two strokes. Despite the odds stacked against her she has battled through every minute of every hour and spent a lot of her short time in hospital.

Skye unfortunately is terminally ill, there is no cure and doctors have told the family that the next seizure will or could be her last …

My name is Jonathan Laker and I’m the fundraising officer for Felixstowe Volunteer Coast Patrol Rescue Service, normally I’m raising funds to keep our high speed response rescue service in operation around our coast but Skye and her family came to see us at our fundraising event at the weekend and I had to introduce myself and find out who this little girl was with such a big smile.

Skye doesn’t want the world, Just to go to Peppa Pig World and a tablet to watch Peppa pig on. Lana is a single parent living in Felixstowe, without transport and gets little help and no respite as she cannot confirm when she will lose Skye and so Skye’s older sister and two brothers have to take a back seat and don’t go out much as a family as Skye is permanently on oxygen and her skin burns up very quickly as a result.

We want to raise enough money to send Skye and her Family to Peppa Pig World and a tablet for Skye, a few days out for the other children and hopefully arrange a short break for Lana because she is such a great mother to all of her children.

On Thursday the 25th of August @ 19.00 we are pulling a 8.5 meter, 2700 kg rescue boat from Manor End to Cobbold’s Point raising money for Skye to realise her dream and I ask everyone to get involved, Donateturn up bring a torch and cheer us along!!

We would like to share this opportunity with other organisations, clubs to join in and take a section of the route to help pull the boat to the finish line ...
