Charlies is a local charity in gloucester set up to help people with cancer through friendship, support, holistic therapies, activities and events. my aim is to raise as much money as possible in a short time.

After falling ill myself a year ago not with cancer but an unexplained illness that left me deaf in one ear, balance issues and a loud ringing in my ears, daily i find certain things a challenge. i decided to set myself a goal to prove that no matter what life throws at you if you have the mind set you can do anything.

i signed up to the brutal duathlon in snowdon on the 16th September one of the hardest in the world. I will run 5 miles then cycle 58 miles with many hills then jump off bike and run 10 miles up snowdon all within 12 hours.

Along with 3 friends we have trained all year and with the race in two weeks i wanted to raise some money for a charity. My friends suggested charlies as it was close to there hearts and a great charity that needs all the funds they can get.
