Hello, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Some of you will know me well and others will not so here’s a quick story about me!

I have always worked with horses but latterly I worked with children.

In summer 2017 myself and partner Callum moved to Perth, where I decided to make a huge change in career and went into the care profession. I was offered a job within Balhousie Care groups North inch/North grove, where I spent my shifts as a carer within the dementia unit (North Grove). Quickly I learnt that this was a job I really loved. I was lucky enough to become a senior care assistant (March 2018) and since have thrived, accepting as much training as I possibly can and still love my job!

I have decided to set a new challenge, something to push me out of my comfort zone COMPLETELY! I have entered the Edinburgh half marathon (13miles!!) Now those of you, who know me well, will know that Abbie and running make for a real comedy act! Never the less I have been exercising to get fitter and starting to build my running skills with the determination that miracles can happen!

I decided that I if I decided to raise money for something I would personally see the benefits of then this would help me push through the difficult run ahead of me.

So this leads me to my next point…. Please dig deep and sponsor me as I raise money for my Residents comfort fund which without, our residents would not be able to have the treats and trips that we organise.
