Fairfield Hospital Stroke Garden was officially opened by the Mayor of Bury on the 70th birthday of the NHS, 2018. The garden aims to be a pleasant place for patients to enjoy with their families away from the busy ward environment. It is also a therapeutic space for patients to engage in horticultural therapy and help aid recovery. Staff and friends would welcome your support by sponsoring them to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge on October 6th - a 26 mile hike to be completed within 12 hours. All money raised will fund much needed garden furniture, equipment, plants etc. required to help develop and maintain the garden so patients can enjoy and benefit from it for many years to come.
