Hello everyone,

My daughter Bonnie was born prematurely at 33 weeks which resulted in her having a 3 week stay on the SCBU ward (special care baby unit). Firstly being born with an infection she was given various amounts of antibiotics, secondly having to be fed via a tube as she had not gained her suckling motion. They worked around the clock to ensure all babies on the ward were nursed to good health and eventualy allowed home to their families. Myself, Lizzie and other people are doing a sponsored bike ride from Birmingham to Ross-On-Wye hoping to raise as much money as we can. SCBU are currently fund raising to update their family rooms so both parents (currently only mums) are both able to stay to support their precious babies. Having been in this situation and having to stay on my own i know important it is to have your partner there to support and grown that ever so important bond withe their baby. Please can everyone donate as much as possible to help this great cause.
