Through a company called World Challenge, I have signed up for a 2 year Programme to take part in a 2-week educational expedition to India, which will involve trekking through Uttarakhand and working on a community project. The community project will involve working alongside the local people and renovating a local school by helping build class rooms to replace the open air schooling they currently have, and the building of irrigation systems for the local community and also toilet blocks for local villagers.

This opportunity is a challenging expedition that will significantly benefit the local community and will teach the team valuable life skills such as leadership, communication and team work.

We have the task of raising £2,840 each through fundraising to cover all our costs for the expedition. In order to raise the funds I have organized several events with my team, which include a school disco, bake sale and car washing afternoon. As well as cutting neighbors lawns with the help of my father.

I am writing to you to see if your company would be interested in sponsoring me for this expedition. I have been in touch with the local paper, Bridlington Free Press, which are keen to publish and promote all our fundraising efforts throughout the 2 year Programme, by sponsoring me your company would benefit from the publicity and to gain you more coverage I could wear your branded clothing at my fundraising events as well as on expedition.
