Story
Deputy Commandant Olusola Feyisara Adeniji, is a level 14 Officer and Head of Anti-Corruption Department of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FCT Command, Abuja.
On the 15th of April 2018, 30 personnel were nominated from different security agencies across the Federation by the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Abuja to represent their organizations and States for a 4 week course on ANTI- TERRORISM in Shenyang, China which commenced on the 23rd of April to 22nd of May, 2018 of which he was privileged to be nominated.
On the 12th of May ,2018, after lectures, he developed an excruciating pain on his lower back which resulted into inability to walk or move the following day. After initial medical observation at the host institution by a medical personnel, he concluded that Sola had partial paralysis from waist downwards. He was told that there was no health insurance by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Industry who sponsored the course to cover the treament of Spinal Cord injury. He was left with no choice than to abandon the course and come back home on a wheelchair.
On arrival in Nigeria, he was admitted for 3 weeks and later discharged with little improvement at the Garki Hospital , Abuja.
He later went on to be admitted at the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, Abuja. It was there neurosurgeons found out that he had a nerve compression on his Spinal Cord which resulted in his inability to walk or move (paraplegia) . He was recommended for surgery abroad because of the sensisitiveness of the portion affected on the Spinal Cord. Sola was reffered to the National Hospital for Radiotherapy to reduce chances of blood clot on his limbs before surgery could be done and was discharged from the hospital after spending 14 days.
He is paralysed from the waist down. His only hope of walking again is to have surgical decompression and spinal surgery. I am appealing for financial support to raise £5000 towards his medical cost.
Sola, my cousin is one of the kindest and loving human beings. Growing up, I remember him always looking out for us, always trying to make us smile. Seeing him immobile breaks my heart. Please help him to work again. He still has 10 working years, a wife and 5 children to support. No amount is too little.
If you would like to donate directly to him, account 0511019860, Olusola Feyi Adeniji. EcoBank, Nigeria.
Thank you very much for your kindness.
