Poor mental health can affect anyone at any time. With crippling cuts to both local authorities and the NHS, third sector agencies like ourselves are supporting more and more people in the community with a range of community based activities and are now needing to expand our support to include counselling sessions.

Across the region there are hundreds if not thousands of people who are having to wait 6-10 months for support, support that is needed now or potentially those individuals’ health and wellbeing could and can deteriorate to the point of being hospitalised costing the NHS a lot more or indeed someone taking their own life. We want to stop this from happening but can only do so with the funds to be able to pay trained and qualified counsellors to deliver this much needed service.
