A year ago this month my beautiful mom was given minutes to live. She defied that diagnosis and fought an awful painful battle. Although dementia wasn't the result in mom passing away it became a part of our painful journey in letting mom go. We were blessed that mom had some memory, better on some days but she always showed us how much she loved us and was proud of us. Dad was always the Andy she fell in love with 60plus years ago.... I was sometimes Amy(????) but she still loved Amy, my gorgeous Barbie doll sister become the old gypsy neighbour(result I'd say🤣🤣🤣) and as for the other siblings....Well!!!!!! Dementia for us was just another painful twist but compared to others this cruel disease can be so so much worse. My sisters, my girls and I will be completing the memory walk on the 23rd Sept to raise money for research and support for those who do not have the support we had.please sponsor us. xxx
