Story
Esrom Ghide was murdered on Wednesday 5th September 2018, in Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a wonderful young man, that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Hanny, or Es - as he was known by his family and close friends - was an amazing son and big brother, and his passing has left a big hole in our lives. 5 boys aged between 14 and 17 have pleaded guilty to his murder, with sentencing to follow in the coming month.
Es leaves behind his mother Tsega, his 3-year-old brother Adonay and step-father Samuel. To fly his body back to Asmara has cost £6,000, and the further costs of his funeral are expected to reach up to £20,000. We do not believe that, on top of the grief and pain at this time, his family should be financially crippled, in order to be able to bury and mourn him.
We are looking to raise as much as we can to help the family of our beloved Es, so that they, his friends and his local community can grieve, and remember him for who he was. Any donations, large or small, are immensely appreciated, so please give what you can, and share to spread awareness. Thank you.
