AID-A Link was established in 2018 by Aida Feriz. Here is Aida's story and her reasons for creating the AID-A Link charity...

"I lost everything that my family built and worked towards for generations within a week in the Bosnian war that went from 1992 – 1996. Restarting my life with nothing as a young girl in London where I had to fight for my own survival and became a self-made businesswoman. I have realised that everything can be taken from you apart from your education, it is the only thing you carry through life, everything else comes and goes.

My dream to help children in need of education stemmed from here but the idea really took proper shape when I went to India in 2015. I went to a school just to offer some biscuits to the kids, I received so much love, appreciation and gratitude that I understood that it was time for me to do something to help. Since then I’ve done intensive research and used all my resources and contacts to see where the AID-A Link could help. This resulted in my most recent visit to India during Christmas 2017 when I went to India and spent time with all the kids. During this time I visited three villages. These three villages schools need a lot of help and support ".

The company's aim is to advance education, work on the relief of poverty, safeguard health and provide incentives to disadvantaged children and adults to succeed in life. The company's main activities are focusing on children and young people from different ethnic backgrounds, migrants, religiously diverse, in order to minimise differences among people, to enhance cultural diversity and gender equality as positive steps forward in the political agendas of governments around the world. It aims to promote the advancement in learning through regular schools and informal and non-formal (VET) educational opportunities. The further educational opportunities will be open to those who show a genuine interest and ability to study multidisciplinary topics. The company also aims to provide healthy and safe environment for the participants in the project, to get engaged in building schools, houses and community centres, at home (UK) and abroad. The company will organise fundraising events and cultural performances, conferences and meetings with donors, investors and government organisations, whether they are from the local governments or mainstream politics. In order to maximise the impact of the activities and aims of AID-A, we plan to launch a media campaign, newspapers, TV, Social Media and other stakeholders to support this project.

AID-A is based in the UK. The first charity event is being help on February the 4th 2019.
