As part of my representative role in competing for the title of Miss Manchester, i feel obliged to give back to our local community. As we all know, homelessness in Manchester is a huge ongoing issue. Staggering amounts of people sleep rough on our streets each night. An article issued by The Guardian Newspaper, stated that more people have died in Manchester due to homelessness than any other local authority area in England. In light of this, i believe there is help out there for our local community to aid the homeless by giving charities like 'Tackle4MCR', the funds they need to provide help emotionally and physically to needy individuals.
I would like for everyone who comes across this page to make a donation, no matter how small it may be, to this cause. Every little helps, and i would be extremely happy if we were to achieve the goal set of £250 for my chosen charity. Thank you.
