over 40040011th May I will be doing a Half Marathon Obstacle Race (13 miles & 150 obstacles/ https://ratracedirtyweekend.co.uk/) and I would like to use the opportunity to raise some money for the Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans in JORDAN (www.alamanfund.jo).

The Al-Aman Fund helps older orphans who have aged out of orphan care pursue full time higher education. The Fund supports them financially, educationally and emotionally through a variety of programs. While orphan children are cared for through government-funded orphanages, these services end when they turn 18—leaving them on their own during the difficult transition to higher education and employment.

I work with the Queen Rania Foundation in Amman, Jordan, and one of the foundation's affiliate organisations is the Al-Aman Fund. All money donated will go to the Al-Aman Fund. All donations received go directly towards the different support schemes the Fund provides to its orphans, the administrative costs are directly covered from separate donations for this purpose. The Al-Aman Fund does not have UK charity status, hence I am using the crowdfunding page option to receive donations. I am covering the full cost of my participation in the half marathon/obstacle event; none of the donations will be used for this.

Offline donations and pledges - which don't show up in the above total - come to over £400 so far.
