I am traveling to Borneo on a life changing experience for four weeks. On this trip, I will be taking part in a project to help the local community and surrounding enviroment. We will be embarking on one specific project when we’re there which could include anything from education to help future generations or environental protection by replanting areas of deforestation, here I have named a minute amount of the projects we could be given to do. The company i will be traveling with have run expeditions across 10 different countries, they have helped the lives of over 105,000 people and the projects they run have helped protect 100,000 hactares of wilderness in six of the worlds biodiversity spots. As I started my story, this will be a life changing experience. For me I will develop communication skills, organisation skills, working with a team and adapting to change. However, this adventure will not only benefit me, it will benefit the local community, help them to stay healthy and help future generations in gaining a better education. It will help the critically endangered orangutans who spend nearly their entire lives in trees which are being cut down rapidly.
