Hello

Last year my friend kris sadly passed away. He was on holiday in Portugal with his partner Mel, his mother and daughter Esme who at the time was only 6 months old.

Kris fell ill whilst away, he had severe flu which turned into pneumonia causing his organs to fail and caused sepsis. It was completely out of the blue and a massive shock to everyone.

I played football with kris and he became one of my very close friends with a loveable personality and wicked sense of humour he was always the go to person to make you smile and have a good time. He would have done anything for you and was always on hand if you ever needed help or advice or just a beer and a chat. I definitely owe him a lot which makes what im doing here that much easier.

Since kris and mel were not married it has meant that financially life is now very difficult. Mel works part time and this money has to pay for everything mortgage, bills etc, not to mention the upbringing of a toddler.

Having two children myself i am well aware of the never ending costs and responsibility of having a family.

I have entered the Bournemouth pier to pier swim on the 14th july this is something I've wanted to do for a few years but never quite had the courage to do it. Helping Mel and Esme gives me the perfect motivation as I cannot and won't fail.

All the money I raise will go straight to Mel and Esme to help with whatever they need.

I've never asked on social media before for donations for a charity event and therefore I would really appreciate your support and any donation you can afford. This really is for a good cause and will massively help two people that I really care about.

I will keep everyone posted with training and obviously the event in question.
