Help us find Alex Johnson.

Alex was last seen falling from the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle at 1.50am on Tuesday 16th April 2019.

Alex is currently classed as a missing person by the Police and will continue to do so until we can recover his body.

Searches on the water were conducted by the police on days 1, 2 and 8 and at this moment in time we have been told by the police that no further searches are planned. We have been told that the police work well with the local community during these occassions. To me, this is not enough, no where near enough.

Alex was and will always be loved by so many people. He touched so many peoples lives with great positivity and helped so many others in their times of need. Alex deserves to have as much dignity as possible at this time and that is what I am trying so hard to get for Alex.

Although I have no experience in this matter, I do feel that we are holding the responsibilty for recovering Alex. This morning I have spoken to a very kind man, a perfect stranger, who has drawn together a team of specialists who are coming from all over the country on Friday to help us. The team will use Cadaver dogs on boats to hopefully locate Alex in the water. Despite the police acctually suggesting this method of recovery to us and also havig their own dogs at hand, there has been no use of the dogs on their behalf.

So it is, as this time, that I am asking people to give anything they can to help us fund this opperation with hope of bringing Alex home and allowing him the dignified send off he so very much deserves.

To me this entire situation still seems so far from real. All I can focus on now is getting my brother out of the river. Anyone else would do the same for their sibling. No one could possibly sit back and just wait for a member of the public to find them somewhere. Please help x
