    Story

To all animal lovers we need your help, Pickles is our gorgeous 6 month old Jackapoo puppy, who has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Paroxysmal dyskinesia, an involuntary movement disorder which causes his body to go into spasm whilst he is still awake. Some people know this as CECS, or Spikes disease, EFS and Scottie cramps, they all come under the same umbrella. These episodes last up to 30 minutes or more and he sadly now has one every day. Our lovely local vet has now referred Pickles to a very specialist veterinary centre in Hertfordshire where they have extensive experience of researching, treating and managing this condition and we have an appointment on the 12 November with their head of Neurology. This started soon after Pickles came to us so sadly the insurance we took out when we got him won't cover this.

We bought Pickles as a normal healthy puppy, in good faith, however the house we went to was a “known” puppy farm address to the RSPCA so we have no recourse through the breeders. Pickles is now part of a huge RSPCA case, for which we have given extensive evidence to bring these horrible puppy farmers to justice.

In every other way Pickles is a lively, intelligent, gorgeous little puppy, fun loving and full of mischief who deserves a future ”

We dearly love this little chap who has made our lives complete, and any support that you can give us would be much appreciated.

Love Alison, Brian & Pickles xx🐾🐾🐾🐾

As longterm dog owners we sadly lost our border terrier Charlie a couple of months ago, although he had lovely times with our new puppy Pickles. We don't have kids so animals are really part of our family so we are doing all we can to help little Pickles with his rare condition.
