On the 5th August our family was on the island of Gili Trawangan and were caught in the 6.9 earthquake that decimated the island and many parts of Lombok. It was a terrifying experience for us as a family and we are grateful to be safe and back home.

Many people who work on Gili Trawangan have families who live on Lombok which was the epicentre of the earthquake so naturally they left on 6th when then island was evacuated by the Indonesian Government.

It has been heartbreaking to see such a beautiful place and such lovely, kind warm people suffering so we wanted to raise some money to help as many people as we can to gain access to medical supplies, food, water and shelter.

All the money we raise will be sent to Blue Marling Dive Centre who are on Gili T and owned by a local friend (small world). They are doing an amazing job helping people to restore the island and provide essential support for people in Lombok.
