Two 9-year-old local girls from Wigston Leicester, Grace Lowry of All Saints C of E Primary and Lilly Jayne of the Meadow Primary have been training dance since they were 4 years old at Pirouette Academy Of Dance. They have now had the amazing opportunity to represent Team England in the dance World Cup set in Braga Portugal of July this year. The girls train 3 times a week in several different genres including ballet, tap, modern, national ,acro and musical theatre. The girls auditioned by video to team England and were selected on the first round out of 5,500 dance entries to join Team England, the girls will be dancing a classical duet which is set in French province and is titled the market girls.
We are fundraising through a series of events to help with associated costs such as travel, accommodation, kit, training etc. We would also welcome any local business sponsorship and any donations from the public to help us get to Portugal.
