Jacob is a 4 year old boy. He is Amanda’s daughter‘ best friend who tells me she is going to marry him too 💜

Jacob has Epilepsy and requires around the clock care and specialist equipment to keep him safe. This equipment doesn’t come from the NHS and is not cheap to purchase, as well as needing a large amount of extra consumables to go with the equipment. This is not easy to purchase in the first place or easy to replace, for example when his strap for his monitor broke recently - he needs a full replacement monitor as you cant buy the strap seperately 💜

As mums we cannot function on a disrupted nights sleep, however Jacob’s mum,dad and his siblings cope everynight with the bed alarm going off constantly due to his seizures and even when they do manage to sleep they constantly worry about him and his safety at night.

At the moment Jacob is needing a large number of hospital visits and prolonged stays in hospital which is hard and disruptive to family life . We are constantly amazed at how fantastic mum and dad cope with everything that comes their way and we dont even want to imagine how we would cope with a child with this condition.

In 2019 Amanda will turn 40 🥳 but she doesnt want a party or celebrations - she is really lucky to have family and friends and health She wants to turn this 40th year to fundraise for an amazing little boy and his family.

Sophie was already planning some challenging events including a marathon and triathalon and wanted to raise money for Jacob too

We have decided to join forces to make a bigger difference for Jacob and with our other friends support and ?joining in 🤞we aim to make 2019 a year to raise awareness of Epilepsy and fundraise
