Hi Everyone,

Hardly any of you know me but I am one of Lisa's Slimming Ladies. Over her 3 Slimming Groups we done a collection for her and Rick and we was going to get Rick some Jelly Babies but they had enough sweets to open their own sweet shop so we gave them the money and with that Lisa said about getting the bathroom done because it will now need to be adapted. Well this got me thinking..

I thought I would set one of these up for Lisa and Ricks friends that are saying we want to help but we don't know how to. I'm sure there are more things that they will have to adapt. For those that are aware of the whole story please read below:

Rick has Pancreatic Cancer with Lung Metastasis, this means that it has spread to his lungs. It is incurable and inoperable, He spent 9 days in hospital after having a stent fitted in his pancreas bile duct to clear his jaundice that became blocked and infected which meant he had to have the procedure done again and a new stent fitted.

Rick is currently waiting for his jaundice to clear so that the oncologist can see him on the 27th June and decide if Chemo or Radiation will help prolong his life or not.

27th June: Just to give you all a little update as Rick had his Oncologist appointment today. Rick and Lisa have been told that without Chemo his prognosis is 6 months from when it first spread, with Chemo it can add up to another 6 months to his life but he will have to have Chemo every 2 weeks.

Rick has decided to try and give the chemo a go and he can hopefully spend another Christmas with all of his Family and Friends. Lisa and Rick have decided to take some of the money raised and have some quality time to themselves before Rick starts Chemo on the 16th July.
