My name is Penguin, I am a very special little duck who has led a very challenging life. I lost my entire family to the fox six years ago and then a year later had to have my wing amputated after an accident. I recovered, and was able to get married to a younger lady called Tuxy whom I love very much. I recently developed arthritis in both my hips, and the sparrow hawks now target me as they can see that I have a disability. I am always happy, but I require special care to help keep me safe and pain free.

The £1,000 target will help us to build a specially designed aviary that has a raised pond with a warm and dry sheltered area, which will keep us safe and get us through the winter months. We will also be able to house other injured friends who need somewhere safe to stay.
