Only a few days ago, a local lady was walking her dogs across the fields by the Jaguar Garage in the Old Town.
What followed has left her scared and traumatised.
One of her beloved dogs was killed by another dog and the lady was bitten, subsequently needing hospital care. The owner of the other dog fled the scene leaving the poor lady alone, distraught and in agong.
As a community we want our members to feel safe in the town that they live, restoring faith in the public and giving strength to built confidence back.
Having spoken to a close family member of hers, it's clear she has been through mental trauma and has been left very scared and deeply upset.
As members of the community who have shown their angish at such an event, let's raise some money for her family to buy her some pampering items, maybe a relaxing massage, reflexology and beautiful flowers to show we are all thinking of her and want to ensure this never happens again.
Once we have raised money I will ensure the family recieve this.
Whist the perpetrator hasnt been caught the family would like to stay aynomous.
