Story
As many of you know, my best friend Meg's little boy, our Charlie Bear, was sadly diagnosed with Leukemia in October last year.
Since Charlies diagnosis things have been very different. Life has become constant hospital stays and visits including all over Christmas, and Charlie has not been able to attend school.
This has also meant that Meg has not been able to work at all and being self employed this has resulted in ZERO income since Chalrie's diagnosis.
Meg has also so far not received any extra financial support from the government or any charities.
The support provided by the local community in Kinoulton has been outstanding. There has been a huge amount of gifts and toys donated to Meg and Charlie and the house looked like Santa's grotto at Christmas. Most of this support was organised by Rebecca Hall and the other mum's from Kinoulton. Some of the children from the school have offered to shave their heads for Charlie. All of this support has kept spirits high for Meg and family over Christmas and I truly believe this is why Charlie and Meg have coped so well. Charlie amazes me everyday with his bravery and maturity for a 5 year old!! It is inspiring ❤
I myself have been through hard times and the devastion this can have not only mentally and physically, but financially, is horrendous. After surviving my own personal trauma it was extremley difficult to get back on top of things financially. I will not let this happen to Meg and Charlie.
We have a very close friendship group and we have all helped where we can but I now feel it's time to ask for help to try and take some of the pressure off Meg so she can continue to be strong to help Charlie in his recovery.
I am asking anyone who can help to, please, either donate what they can or give fundraising ideas or any knowledge of financial support in these circumstances.
Let do what we can as a community and let's HELP MEG HELP CHARLIE!!!!
THANKYOU EVERYONE XX
