Hi everyone. I am 15 years old and in the fifth form at school, Year 11. I have been volunteering and doing charity work since I was 4 when I helped my mum make strawberry jam to sell to raise money for an orphanage in Kenya. My family also sponsored a Tanzanian girl to go to school and now she is 18 and at college doing really well. I am one of the youth leaders at our church children's club and help run the Holiday Bible Clubs too. I love helping others, especially children.

I have the most amazing opportunity to go to Tanzania in 2019 with my school to volunteer at our partner school, Tinga Tinga. In keeping with our school ethos of "Admiration, Hope & Love" an important part of our partnership is helping improve conditions for the children attending Tinga Tinga - last year my school colleagues raised funds to facilitate a kitchen rebuild and enhance toilet facilities which enabled the girls to attend school all month.

I would love to be part of the 2019 volunteer trip and have been busy fundraising already. I babysit and dog walk. I also recycle old books and DVDs through Ziffit and cashmere jumpers that are made into fingerless gloves and I save the money I receive in my Tanzania 2019 fund. So far I have collected £1500 earning pocket money as above and friends and family have been incredibly generous with their support. I am determined to reach my goal of £3000 before next summer.
