Hi, thank you for taking the time to check my post!

I'm half way through my first year as an animation student and as much as I try I keep struggling financially to keep it going.I want to keep studying animation so that I can tackle social issues and bring awareness to various issues and situations in a more entertaining way in order to attract attention. I want to create something that would outlive me, work as a social justice medium, affect people's life in a better way from children to the elderly.

Receiving funds from Student Finance from my Art & Design HND Diploma my first year had to be funded by myself, out of my own pocket and I had to borrow money from my family which I really want to return to them as soon as possible since I know how hard they work for every pence. And even with their help I barely have enough time for my part-time job spending most of my time at the university, including weekends, from morning until security asks me to leave in my attempt to work, learn and try as many things as possible.

In order to help my family I help out with occasional rent and/or grocery money, tv, broadband and phone bills but I've reached a point where I can't afford materials for analog projects or sometimes even travel money. I want to be able to help my family with the living expenses, pay them back the money they invested in my education and keep attending university and giving my all at every project.

As to obtaining some more money besides my part-time waitress job I have a few freelance jobs as a graphic designer making banners or posters for various companies. I made a logo for a cakes and pastries freelance chef, mental health awareness performance poster for my college and quite a few other similar jobs. Sadly my laptop is pretty old and can't keep up with the software anymore. I wish to keep earning money, so that I feel like I've earned it and have that achievement feeling that I feel every time at the end of every job. I want to spend some of the money from this post to buy a new laptop and keep working.

I will most likely try to apply for student finance again for next year but with Brexit closing in and me being a European Emigrant I'm afraid that it may stop being a possibility or at least become harder to obtain help from the state with education funds.
