I'm taking part in the White Bear TrIathlon on the 8th September to raise funds for one of Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club's athletes, Lee Mitchell who has been selected to represent Ireland in Equestrian at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dahbi in 2019.

Lee is an inspirational athlete in our club and competes in equestrian, swimming and bocce. He gives 100% in training, is always smiling and joking and loves competition and winning!

The White Bear takes place on the east coast of Northern Ireland (in Game of Thrones country) and consists of a 2.4 mile sea swim followed by an 112 mile bike ride through the Glens of Antrim and finishing with a wee 26.2 mile run up and down a mountain. See the following link

In total there is 140.6 miles and 13,800 feet of climbing and I'm asking people to either pay a lump sum or an amount per mile e.g. 10p equals £14.60.
