You may be wondering why a young, unshaven, cheeky chap is asking for your heard earned money well I'll tell you. Ever since I was a nipper I wanted to be either a pilot, artist or archaeologist (basically Indiana Jones) and after I realised that the position was already occupied I decided to become a pilot. I have wanted to be a pilot since i can remember and my grandfather is absolutely my inspiration. He flew Stirlings and Lancasters in Bomber Command during the war and went on to have a extremely varied and exiting career in commercial aviation. He has completed many amazing feats such as the Berlin airlift and being the pilot of the first pure jet commercial passenger flight from New York to London in 1958. He really is an inspiration and a huge reason why I am doing this and I aspire to make sure he is on my first commercial flight wherever it goes.

I feel somewhat embarrassed to create this page but becoming a commercial pilot is not easy and I am trying to raise the money to train anyway I can to achieve my dream. So far I have completed my Private pilots licence, restricted instrument rating, night rating, all my hours building, my multi engine rating and all 14 ATPL exams required of me (which has taken 12 months full time study). All that is left is for me to do my full multi engine instrument rating and my commercial licence and I can go and find a job!

This is something I have wanted to do my entire life and I have sacrificed a huge amount to just be in the position I am in. I am eternally grateful to everyone to has helped me so far and I am so close to the end now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As it currently stands there is no such thing as a pilot loan for anyone like me doing it the hard way so this is why I am asking for anyone and everyone to help in anyway they can.
