Andrew is a 16 year old young man who has Autism, Epilepsy and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome among other medical conditions. He finds social situations and being in crowds very difficult and stressful. This has meant that he is very rarely able to visit busy areas without having extreme stress leading to shut down’s. Andrew was donated a dog previously but she didn’t meet the criteria needed to become a service dog, resulting in heartache for Andrew. We are trying to raise money in order to purchase and train an Australian Labradoodle from “Tora Labradoodle’s” in Cardross. Please feel free to look up “Tora’s Labradoodles” webpage. The puppy will be from a litter which is due to be born around the 30th of June. We have already paid a deposit using the money which was raised for the previous dogs training, but we are still a long way off. Having a Service Dog for Andrew, would mean that when he has a seizure, the dog would be trained to raise an alarm so Andrew can get the help he needs. The Service dog will also be trained to assist Andrew whilst out and about, keeping him calm and as safe as possible. We are going to be raising money over the next few months through various planned methods including “Pick a Square,” Raffles, Half marathon, Kilt Walk, Car wash, Cake sale, “Just Giving" page and potentially a charity football match.
