Geordie Bullies are praying for Macie who is fighting for her life.
Macie was bought into foster in early December after being handed in by her owners. The Charity were lead to believe she was 6 and had two registered litters, sadly this turned out to be untrue, Macie is 9 and had been imported from Hungary, she had never been registered in the UK and her true past is unknown but we can only assume she had outlived her “usefulness” and cast aside.
Macie was taken to the vets for a spay less than a week ago where it was discovered she had tumours and cysts and required Boas surgery to widen her airways. Over the next few days Macie deteriorated after her surgery and was rushed back to the vet for treatment.
Macie was allowed home but just hours later her condition worsened. Macie’s wound had broken down causing her Intestine to come out. Due to the exposure of the intestine some areas have turned black indicating dead tissue, the area around her scar is also necrotic. The vets have performed emergency surgery , she has a central line and a drain in her abdomen. Macie is holding on and we are praying her wound site remains stable.
Macie desperately needs our help to save her life, she’s fighting every inch of the way but the vet bills are mounting. Please help her, she’s 9, not had the best life and it can’t end like this, it’s not right. Macie is a sweetheart and deserves the retirement sofa and the love she has been denied until she came into the care of Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue.

5 years agoShe isn't having her drain removed and we need a plan B if her bowel movements don't work soon . We are doing everything we can and have told the vet we will pay whatever it takes to get her the treatment she needs , however this is at a huge cost to the charity . Currently we have raised £1700 towards her veterinary treatment ( thank you so much 😍) but her bill currently stands at £3200 with around £400 more this weekend in hospital fees for Sat and Sunday .I can't even look further than the weekend so I'm thinking £3600 by Monday morning

5 years ago#Macie Update 18/01/18 The vets have called this morning and explained some problems they faced with Macie yesterday . The drain that is in her tummy to take away any fluid build up WAS getting less fluid out each day , however they realised it was blocked last night. So after unblocking it they were faced with a huge fluid build up, you would expect 40-50 ml per day but yesterday Macie was 200ml 😩. She still isn't using her bowel properly after various medication so they are trying another today .
