Weʼve raised £250 to remember Anne Thompson (nee Hubbard)

Funded on Thursday, 18th April 2019

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

On Wednesday 18th April 2018, Anne Thompson (nee Hubbard) passed away peacefully.

Anne, or 'Annie' was a beautiful, bubbly and sparky woman who's greatest joy was making others happy.

As a family, we have been overwhelmed and comforted by the messages of support we have received at this difficult time. We would like to do something practical as we process the unexpected loss of our mother, daughter, sister and partner.

We will use donations to buy a piece of equipment for the ward at the Queen's Medical Centre where Anne spent her final hours, where the staff were fantastic. The rest we will donate to Mind, to acknowledge the support they provided, alongside other dedicated mental health professionals.

    Rest in peace, Mum.

Hello everyone! We have spoken to the team on the ward where our Mum was treated and they have asked that we donate money to purchase a Z-bed for family members to be able to stay overnight and comfort their relatives. It is great to know that your funds will directly make a difference to people on that ward. Having loved ones close by when you are in need can make a huge difference. The rest of the donations will be sent to Mind to fund the fantastic work that goes into assisting those with mental health difficulties. Thank you again xxx

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our fundraising page in memory of mine and Leah's mum. With the money from this page combined with the donations from the funeral, we have raised £612, smashing our initial target. Tomorrow, I'm tackling the 8.5 mile Great Midlands 'Fun' Run in Sutton Coldfield, so these donations will help motivate me to complete the challenge. It's set to be another hot one! Thank you all again, we will be forever grateful xxx
