My name is Bertie, I am 2 years old and I have trouble breathing because my nose is flat. This makes my walks very short because when I'm out of breath I can't get air into my nose quick enough. My nostrils are so small and this makes me very tired and sad. This winter I got a very bad cold and made my breathing worse than ever. My mum took me to the vets who said it would be a good idea to look into getting an operation to make my nostrils larger. The vet says that it will get worse as I get older and will shorten my life if I don't get it sorted.

When mum came to see me for the first time she noticed I was the smallest of my pup family and that my nose was flat. I think they call it 'the runt' of the family, but my mum says it doesn't matter, she and my family love me all the same.

The operation is going to be very expensive and I'm hoping I can raise some money to help my mum pay for me to have it which in the long run will help me live a longer and better life...and continue having lots of cuddles with mum x
