Story
My close friend and our Cricket team captain Dawn Paulose's three-year-old son Ronav was diagnosed with the rare form of liver disease known as Biliary Atresia, when he was only just a few weeks old. Early surgery was unsuccessful, however, in March 2016 he received a life-saving transplant after Dawn donated part of his own liver to his son Ronav. CLDF has helped the family tremendously, so we would like to give back to the charity by raising money through a charity Cricket Tournament which will take place on Sunday 22nd July at Wellingborough Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, NN8 6BS from 8:00 to 20:00.
Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) is the only UK charity dedicated to fighting all childhood liver diseases by providing information, emotional support, research funds and a voice for all families that are affected. Every week 20 children in the UK are diagnosed with a life-threatening childhood liver disease. More children in the UK are currently diagnosed with a liver disease than childhood leukemia. A percentage of your donations will also be given to Sathkarma which is a charity that helps to supply food, shelter, clothes for the tribal people in Kerala, India.
Your generous donations means a lot to both of these charities, thank you.
